Lexaire domestic range
of expanded vinyl on a knitted cotton backer meets
the requirement of BS5852 Ign. Source "0"
and "1" using normal polyurethane upholstery
foams and to FMVSS 302.
Cleaning
Lexaire is easily
kept clean retaining its attractive appearance.
Normal soiling can generally be removed with a
damp soapy cloth. More obstinate dirt should be
washed with warm soapy water and gently scrubbed
with a soft brush. Then rinse with clean cold
water and dry with a cloth. Always use either
soap flakes or mild soap. DO NOT USE detergents,
chemical cleaners, solvents, bleaches, abrasives,
wax polishes and aerosol sprays etc. as these
may harm the coating and surface of the material.
Resistance to stains
and spills
Lexaire is resistant
to many mild acids, alkalis, drinks and common household
stains, which should be wiped off and cleaned as
soon as possible. Some substances are very powerful
staining agents for all vinyls – lipsticks,
ballpoint pen ink, food colourings etc – and
may cause permanent staining. This can be minimised
by immediate cleaning as instructed above.
